While we wait...
I am incredibly impatient for the snow to melt and all the yard and garden projects to begin. I actually wrote a guy on craigslist today who claims he will come take junk cars away for free. Hopefully he is for real and not some crazy person. Because I really need some junk car removal to happen. I'm taking a couple of mid-week days off from the University because I have handed in my thesis and have three weeks until my defense. Who starts preparing for that three weeks in advance?
So today I bake, and knit, and eat, and take a walk with Delta - conveniently I can combine dog walking with getting my car, which I abandoned at the Marlin last night. I came in for a beer, which turned into three, which then turned into watching some horrible male comedian joke about tampons for 10 minutes. That was my cue to leave. How original is that? Joking about tampons...
Here is a couple of photos of today's baking endeavors. I bake a lot because American store-bought bread is filled with sugar and additives. When the bread is still in mint condition after three weeks you know it's not good for you, so I bake my own as often as I can. This is foccacia made with olive oil, citrus thyme and garlic.
