And then Una turned one
February is here and so are longer days and more sunlight. I welcome it with a desire for change stronger than previous years. J's dad passed away in late November, and December and January have been a blur of grief, work and dark winter with joyous, colorful explosions of everything Una. It is amazing how my happy, healthy, funny daughter has carried us through and brought laughter and amazement to our house in the midst of missing our live-in grandpa every day.
Last week, she turned one. A whole year she has been with us and I can hardly believe it. It was literally (My literal husband would get annoyed now) yesterday we drove home from the hospital and a mama and baby moose welcomed us in the yard while grandpa and Delta were jumping at the door.
