New job, new ride, new spring
It's been almost a month since my last post and there is a good, great reason: I got a new job. I got a full-time, interesting, challenging job within my field of cultural anthropology. I am super excited and hitting the ground running, literally, because the group of people I have been hired to put together include kids who will be out of school in ten days and be who knows where for the rest of the summer. My job requires both confidentiality and great consideration and so I will write more about it as I get comfortable about what I can share and what not.
In other news, spring is officially here. Everything is blooming including my nose. Wise people predict a dry and hot summer in Alaska and I hope they are right!!! So far so good. I decided I needed a hot new ride especially since our car situation is less than ideal at the moment (more about that later), so here it is. The photo might not look like much but it was taken in the proud moment where I had managed to assemble the bike (it came in a box) to the point where nothing fell back of and both wheels were turning. The cup holder (yes there is a cup holder-I live in America) needs a bit more work before it can hold my decaf iced lattes.
